Amongst the family relics in the possession of Mr. Thomas Stephen Copinger of Sandy Hill, Co. Cork, is a beautiful gold ornament presented by this Robert Copinger to his wife on her marriage in 1660. It is stated to be the work of Benvenuto Cellini. In the locket there are three exquisite carvings of the Nativity, the offerings of the Wise Men, and the Crucifixion.
